Hello everyone.

I''m still in a search for my perfect diamond. My wonderful husband refuses to go online, so this has been a little frustrating because I hate paying a premium for anything.

In any case, I had dinner with a customer (and friend) who asked his friend (a local jewelry store owner) to join us and help me out. He brought a Round 1 ct. Jubilant Crown cut that absolutely knocked my sox off. I mean that is an understatement. I''m in love....

We were in Morton''s and the light was low but that beautiful stone sparkled like you wouldn''t believe! So, now I have a dilemma. While I was at dinner, my DH was busy purchasing a Peerless diamond that I had chosen and was having it set in my A Jaffe setting (love that setting

). Now what do I do? I''m in love with this diamond, and he was going to sell it to me for less than the one my husband has still at the jewelry store. So...... my question..... What are your thoughts on the Jubilant Crown cut? Do you think I can get out of the purchase? Would you choose the Jubilant Crown over a darn near perfect round brilliant

Thank you all for your help. You all have been invaluable.

Gosh, doesn''t anyone know what this cut is? Help

I don''t know the name of that stone but it''s irrelevant IMO. I would however caution against thinking a stone you saw in one lighting and another stone you saw in another lighting should be compared - unless they are in the same lighting. Any way to get the two diamonds together? Do you have a return period on the other diamond?

I am not familiar with this cut, but I agree with Cehra on getting the 2 stones together and going from there.

Thanks everyone. I decided that it can''t be a good thing that not one person knows what that cut is, so we went and picked up my new ring. Honestly, I couldn''t be happier.

It is absolutely stunning and complete strangers were commenting on how beautiful my ring was. Even my husband couldn''t stop looking at it.

I''m so thankful that there were kind people like all of you to help educate me on what a beautiful diamond should look like. I''ll post some pics. tomorrow when I can capture it in daylight. Have a good night
