hi. we are ring shopping and wondered if anyone has used jongems in hatton gardens to have a ring made. if so, what were the result? were you happy with it? the diamonds are not certified...is this an important issue?
thanks.
I don't have any personal knowledge about the company you asked about.
In general if a wholesaler feels they can get a fairly decent grade for a diamond, the diamond gets submitted to a reputable grading lab for Certification. Some nice diamonds get submitted to lower level labs from time to time. Since diamonds with Certs from less respected labs tend to trade at a discount, buyers who happen across nicer diamonds with those Certs usually find a bargain. Rarely, in todays market, will a fairly nice diamond not get sent to a grading lab for Certification. Usually, if a diamond doesn't have a Cert, something is off. Doesn't mean you can find a decent stone that way, but you really need to know what you're doing.
Wholesalers know their business. Certs add a certain level of assurance and command a pricing premium. If a diamond can get a fairly good Cert, the wholesaler will submit it for grading.
