JM prefers to work with jewelers who are insured through JM, perhaps for credibility reasons... They investigate the companies that they insure quite thoroughly.

When you insure your jewelry with Jewelers Mutual, you work with your preferred jeweler for repairs and replacements. Unlike other insurers, we don't contract with replacement services. If you don't have a preferred jeweler, we are happy to recommend several in your area.
