JAMES ALLEN CROSS PRONG SETTING

I am looking to have my diamond set into a James Allen Cross Prong Setting. Does anyone have this setting? If so is it weighty? I emailed and the response was " I coulnd''t tell you what the gram weight is, but I can help you process your order". I don''t want to order a lightweight setting..

Sizzle,

If you post the item number of the ring (we have several cross prong designs), I can get you an exact gram weight. Most of the rings are in the five gram neighborhood (I assume we''re talking 18kt white gold?), but if I knew the style number and center diamond measurements I could be more specific.

I''m not a fan of printing gram weights on the website and I''ve told the sales staff that we don''t record that info. It''s not that we''re hiding anything - but it''s difficult to give someone a concrete answer without the exact size/shape of the center diamond and finger size. Cross prongs are especially difficult, as we manufacture them in several different widths to fit a variety of center diamonds.

I actually just broke down and ordered it anyway. It will be here Wed. I actually ordered platinum for a 1 1/2 ct princess diamond.
