Hi all,

I am recently engaged and have learned so much from members of this forum! (Thank you!!!)

My fiance and I picked out a diamond from James Allen and had it set in this setting:
http://www.jamesallen.com/products/item_57-2648_build.asp?module=setting

The ring arrives in a week, and now I''m getting anxious. Any thoughts on this setting? Is the shank too narrow? Is the setting too chunky where the diamond is held? Does anyone own a similar ring or have an idea of how this would look?

I was drawn to the setting for its simplicity and reasonable price. I like the contemporary flat band (pipe cut?) - and the thin band will hopefully showcase my smallish ideal-cut 0.76 F / SI1 diamond.

My ring size is 5.25 if this helps!

Thank you so much - any feedback would be appreciated

I am not an expert but I have learned from personal experience that settings look gigantic in pictures. I am going through the same process with my e-ring and I know is it very stressful and second guessing is just part of the process. I love the fact that the band is so thin ( 1.7mm).
