JA ring size

I''m getting ready to order a setting from JA and went to this link:

My gf got her finger measured at a jewlers as size 6

According to the JA link...shes 8 1/2 (Her finger circumference in (mm) is 5

Is there something I''m missing?

Did you use the printable ring sizer or a tape measure?

piece of string then measured with a ruler and got 58mm.

I also used this: http://www.shaneco.com/images/ringsizer.pdf

and got 6. maybe i just measured wrong the first time...gonna try again

I definately recommend returning to the jeweler. The string thing is not a good gage.

Thanks for everyones help. For all those searching for a engagement ring make sure you get measured at a jewlers. Ended up with a 5.75 size

I also bought accurate ring sizers off eBay. They are not expensive and have come in really handy.

I agree.. just make sure you use actual ring sizers (what jewlers use) and not the paper print outs.
