Hello all,

I'm usually over in colored stones... feels funny to post here. lol Like an interloper who has no idea what she's doing in terms of diamonds. :D In any event, I just purchased a pair of OMCs from this shop. They're currently on their way. Ilya, the owner, has been lovely to work with, and has generously offered to make the ring for me. Normally, I would just have DK do it (or Enhoerning, when I've purchased stones from them). I know this shop is reputable with lovely antique diamonds, but how are they in terms of jewelry manufacturing? Anyone who knows my pieces, would they be up to my standards? I mean, I don't own the crown jewels over here, but I'd like to think I'm rather discerning. Thanks for any input you guys can provide!

I bought my OEC from I&R and had it made into a simple Gypsy rub-over setting in Platinum and I was very pleased with the communications, workmanship and customer service.

AFAIK, they make a lot of their own antique/vintage inspired settings.

Please bear in mind that my OEC ring is a simple design, and I only needed to have one adjustment made to the CAD which was to increase the width of the shank as I prefer a bolder look.

Hope that helps.

Thank you, DK! Did you find them to be reasonably priced? My ring would be a relatively simple 3-stone.

I would trust them for simpler designs and would use them for such things. I don’t think they are in the class of DK’s top benches and Inken. But I think their prices are lower so it’s really about fit. I’d ask to see some examples of other similar rings they did.

Deejay is who I think of re: I&R three stone rings.

Yup, indeed.

They provided me with a quote first, stating it could vary +/- by a small amount depending on the final casting weight of the finished piece as it is quite chunky.

I have bought from them and have been satisfied. I would recommend them any day as a budget option — their prices are low and the service is fast. The items were as described.

If you would like a more solid piece I bet they could do it but definitely communicate that to them. Then let us know if they do a good job because they are a convenient option with a good selection.

I had a basic solitaire claw prong ring setting made by them and I was very happy.
