Yep, I have been hit. I had the flu in October and I was hit with a cold on Friday. Along with this lovely cold I have completely lost my voice...I can barely be heard at all!

I am pretty good at not getting colds or the flu. I got hit bad Christmas day with a cold/stomach flu bug; hubby had to take care of me and now he is sick with sinus stuff. My whole family got something this year. I use to think I was Ironwoman, oh well.

LS: LOL to hangnails! I get migraines once or twice a year.

Worst head cold ever. Woke up Thursday and could feel it coming. Was down and out by Friday and just left the house for the first time today. I''ve been miserable.

The kicker is I haven''t been around anyone sick. I can''t even "blame" this on anyone.

DH refuses to come near me. Probably a good thing for him.

I had a NASTY cold over Thanksgiving. Sick for 8 days. A week later got the stomach flu and was sick for a week

I work in the medical center so I must get flu shot every year and IT REALLY WORKS! The year I skipped it I seem to get sick a lot easier.

Hubby and I have gotten flu shots, but we both suffered from a cold over the last two weeks. Most of my friends are getting sick too. Probably doesn''t help that I''m a teacher and am around sick, germy kids all day long.

I had a cold the first part of last week, but I''m fairly determined to stay healthy this year. Last year was bad - I have asthma so it only took a small cold to send me in a downward spiral that ended up with me in the emergency room. This year I don''t really have any time off work so I can''t get sick.

i''ve never gotten a flu shot in my life and haven''t had a flu in 15 yrs. i have a friend that gets his flu shot evey year and he always get sick right after the flu shot. maybe those flu shot only work on certain people.

Me too..no colds..flu..I'm a pretty healthy person, but when I do get sick, it's a life threatening illness!!

Maybe it's mother nature's way of "apologizing" (no small, inconveniences..I already gave you enough to deal with!

I just got something resembling the flu yesterday

I even had my flu shot! Oh well. I can tell my boss is not happy I''m not coming into work (I had some important meetings), but since he takes a sick day a month he can''t really say anything about it.

I was sick with a cold/cough for two + weeks right before Christmas. The cough finally went away about a week ago, the rest lasted about 12 days, I had little/no voice. Trying to work in a classroom full of kids was no easy task!

I tend to think that if you''re achy and have a fever, it''s the flu. If you''re just stuffy it''s a cold. I''m not a doctor so that could be completely untrue lol.

I got my flu shot (its HIGHLY (ie..you better get it or else) recommended).

I got a really nasty cold a while back...snot on one side of your face and your cant see anything cuz your eyes are all puffy....thats all for me....for now...

I rarely get sick...but when I get sick I am down for the count...........

I get strep throat once every two or three years and this is starting to feel like that''s where I''m headed.

It''s a shame too because its only in the 70s here. That''s what happens when you''re used to 90 degree weather.

I woke up with the cold on Christmas Eve, and successfully passed it to at least 3 family members (I told my mom I shouldn''t have been handing out presents).

Now I have it again... as of Friday.

Got my flu shot at the beginning of December. I can''t handle the flu.

Girl I should find you and tackle you right now!! 70 are you are complaining??

Its 40 here....so... I WISH it was 70!!!

Never fails something attacks me either before Christmas or right after. I''m guessing all the stress lowers my immunity. But right now I''m suffering with a cold or allergy attack.
Our weather has been nuts and I contribute being sick to that. This past weekend we had hot, muggy weather. We used the AC. Today, it''s high 40''s and I''m cold.
I''ve decided to nickname myself "The Snot Slinger". It''s just awful - where does it all come from, LOL !!!

Ya know, you take 1 medication and it will dry you up, but send everything to your ears. Or you take something else and it plugs up your sinus cavities. Or do what I did and take DayQuil and having it pouring out your nose !!!
