It''s snowing!

It''s our first snowfall of the year and sooo pretty! I couldn''t resist taking pictures. It''s the perfect temperature outside today too..snow won''t last long tho b/c the ground isn''t cold enough yet. Still...those big flakes are lovely!

It''s perfect for snowballs too..I''m sure it won''t amount to much accumulation but I just loooove when it snows like this. It''s so nice and peaceful outside. Anyone want to come have hot chocolate with us? We have little marshmallows to put in it too!

I''d cry if it started snowing this early. I almost cried when I found out the high today is only 60.

I LOVE snow!!!

I can''t wait for some snow here. I *hate* the cold but absolutely LOVE it when it snows - kinda backwards, but I almost feel like the cold is pointless if it''s not snowing, but when it does snow I can handle the cold because the snow is so fun and pretty!

+1! That''s exactly how I feel. There is absolutely no point to cold if it doesn''t snow. It''s just grey and dreary without snow.

Thats so funny. I love the cold, in an indoor sort of way. I work in the windiest part of New York City, and I swear, the cold was easier in upstate New York in some ways than it is here.

Packrat, I want to come over for hot chocolate! I''ll bring kahlua to put in it?

I, also, want to know where you live, packrat. Is it in the US or Canada? Since Buffalo isn't ready for snow yet (according to icekid), where else is ready? Minneapolis? The Rocky mountains? I am assuming that Alaska already had snow...but maybe not everywhere?

Lilac, I feel the same way about the snow and cold!

I''m in NW Iowa. We had a light dusting of snow last week too. Today''s snow is already melting b/c we haven''t had a hard freeze yet. I just couldn''t resist this morning b/c it was sooo pretty! It was a strange Spring/Summer, so only stands to reason it will be a strange Fall/Winter I guess!

Ha, now you watch, we probably won''t see any more snow until December! I remember a lot of years having a foot of snow on the ground for Thanksgiving, and it being melted by Christmas. Iowa weather is weird.
