Well, here we go -- we''re in the final stages of it all...

The OOT bags...love ''em!

bag1try.JPG

And another shot, because, really, can you have too many OOT bag pictures?

bagtry2.JPG

The bags have all the usual: water, snacks, Kisses...and THESE, which are so cool -- giant chocolate pops shaped like the Sears Tower!

bagtry3.JPG

Fabulous FI made the maps that you can sorta see underneath...we wrote up a little hello message and added some fun things to do in Chicago...

The picture is loopy -- the borders on the actual message are just fine. :)

bag4try.JPG

FI wrote these all up...love that he added a little something special to the first entry...(ETA: if you can't read it, it says that the Adler Planetarium is where he proposed, so it's a place that's dear to us...)

bag5try.JPG

And I think I managed to figure out this whole picture sizing thing...this was the practice hair...it''s a little sloppy cuz we''d just removed the veil...

Back view...excuse the stragglers at the bottom and the random Minny Mouse loops at the top -- it got caught in the veil...

picklehai1.JPG

Ok, here''s my Mug Shot. Looks like someone gave me WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much coffee...

pickha2.JPG

I hesitated putting this on because I look so awful...the hair was not this flat on top before I managed to mangle it getting the veil off...and my face just looks like I''d been smashed in the nose with an anvil, but you get the idea. Happy bride, although I really look better than this most days (*snerk* I am having fits about having my pics taken for the wedding. I''d best get over that!)

Right, well, moving on...

Here''s the dress. I have no pics of me in it (long story) but trust me, I will not be wearing whatever the he** is on her head in this picture. Is it flowers? Is it a toucan?

Totally random happy shot of us...the day after we got engaged. He has since shaved. As have I.

Ring shots

Aww, Jas, everything looks wonderful! You are so cute, you will be a beautiful bride! Your OOT bags look great. I bet those are a lot of fun to put together. I love doing stuff like that. Your dress is gorgeous! Hope you post wedding day pictures

Fabulous shoes...

bagtry9.JPG

Yes I should be working, why do you ask?

bagtry7.JPG

This necklace hangs down the back...love it love it love it!

bagtry10.JPG

With these rings...umm...line?

bagtry11.JPG

My mom's most adorable after-wedding brunch invites...at the bottom it says "no p.j.'s please" so of course FI and I are wearing silly slippers and bathrobes over our clothing...

bagtry12.JPG

And the must talked about and fretted over rehearsal dinner invite. It''s a very cute invite. I "erased" their names, so that''s the big ol white blur in the middle. And yes, you can see down in the corner, "Poems, skits and toasts welcome." (Except by me!)

Apparently FMIL hired someone to color in the hair on the bride because the picture was originally of a blond bride. Umm, ok..but going along with that, we should erase the groom''s hair (he''s a-goin'' bald) -- perhaps if I''m feeling up to it, I''ll photoshop it.

But that''s not nice. And I don''t mean to sound ungrateful...feel free to read my other threads on the joy that has been planning this event...

So cute Jackie! It''s almost here which means it''s almost over and you''ll be marrrrrrrrrrrried! =)

You know it, girl. You've been there with me through all of this, and have been supportive! So excited for the marriage!

Sunkist...thanks, yes, tons of fun to do the gift bags! No stress, no drama

All right, I must confess, FI and I are choreographing a most humorous dance for our 1st dance (think Robert and Amy on Everybody Loves Raymond )

We have no shame.

Hey girl~
Well, I thought it was so cool when I read your proposal story (not long after joining PS) and found out that you were from Chicago. I thought ''how cool I know EXACTLY where that is!''

I''M A GINORMOUS NERD.

Rock on with the first dance. That''s awesome. =)

Awww...sigh...yeah...that was just the best day ever.

If you are a ginormous nerd, I am Dorkus Maximus. Rage on

I''m still laughing about the first dance...i''m pretty sure he and I will be the only ones who think it''s funny. We''re so odd.

Ok, so one of my FSIL is a BM in the wedding. She''s an advocate of going au natural in the underarms region (put not-so-nicely, she doesn''t shave her pits). I have no problem with it...not my pits...but her mom (my FMIL) and a lot of other people freak out about this.

She sent me a picture of her in her dress...arms up, hands clasped behind her head...hairy pits for all the world to see. The caption -- "Ready for the wedding! And P.S. I will shave"

What was actually funny was that she cc''d her mom on this. Her mom is going to die a thousand deaths over this.

5 more days! Oh my! Final counts into the caterer and the florist, and the lady writing out the placecards knows who is married, who is single, who''s been naughty, who''s been nice...no, wait, that''s Santa.

Ugh -- my only PU issue is that I''m trying to get everything ready for me to be gone from work for 3 days...it''s a massive PITA.

But I love my sweetie so...he''s worth a couple of lost hours of sleep in the next 48 hours so that we can have some peace on Thursday and Friday!

My biggest issue on Thursday will be picking a nail polish color for my hands (the feetsies will be bright red) and dropping off OOT bags to 7 different hotels (lotsa people ignored the 3 choices we''d blocked off...the choices covered all price ranges, were good locations, and were all really different stylistically.) But there you go. It''s all fine...the worst is over...

EXCEPT FOR THE REHEARSAL DINNER (cue Movie Music of Doom!)

Love all the touches...the invites, the bags...looks beautiful!!

Thanks so much FireGoddess...that means a lot, especially on this site when so many people have so many outstanding, creative, warm, loving touches at their weddings!

You''re so funny! I think we''re all anxiously waiting to find out how your RD goes. Your OOT bags are adorable. I''ve never heard of doing that for out of town guests before I found PS, and I think it''s such a nice touch. I love the Chi-Town theme!

Props to your FSIL for the email...(I''d be dying if that were me). It''s good that you have bm''s to make you smile. =)

I would post the picture if I thought I could get away with it...my luck, my entire FIL are trolling PS trying to find me...

I love the OOT bag idea...it''s a lot of fun if you can work it into your budget and time line!

It''s funny...I think I will be "coping" with the RD because I will be trying to mentally record it so that I can report on it here...that way I''m a little detached from it all. Of course, if I commit bloody murder, I may be delayed in posting...20 years to life.

I''m still sad for you that the whole thing caused a bunch of hell...I remember endless posts from Jackie about predicaments and drama...but if you report we will gladly listen (err...read) next week!

Everything looks wonderful jas! I remember reading your previous posts about how unpleasant the planning process has been for you, which is such a shame. It''s supposed to be a happy time, and although there are bound to be some snafus along the way, you''ve had to put up with entirely too much! Hopefully, everything will go off without a hitch (including your RD). I was totally shocked when I read that you were going to be "roasted". Hopefully it won''t be mean spirited...if it is, well let''s just say I can''t even imagine what that would be like!

The most important thing is that soon you''ll be married to the man that you love (you guys make such a cute couple btw)!
