Long story made short. Traded in my original halo Simon G ering natural 1.12 F SI1 for a 2.51 F VS1 solitaire lab. A few months ago, I saw my ring for sale at the store I used. Ever since I have regretted my decision. The jeweler offered me back the same amount of money he took it in for, cash, no tax to get my ring back. He says he understands the sentiment in the ring. Here they are both and I am so happy. My husband says I can never bring up rings again. I will abide my upgrade was supposed to be my forever ring. IMG_7430.jpeg

And you husband can't boss you around about this lol...

So glad you got it back @sabinameister ...I'm sure it has helped to put you at ease and maybe bring you some peace.

We have all made decisions that we have regretted later. Luckily, you were able to recover from yours!

Ha, I know it’s just I’ve kept saying I promise this is the last time I’m gonna ask so many times. He gets it, just not happy about my obsessive behavior

You probably don't remember, but I was not a fan of trading in your original diamond for the lab. Just didn't seem to be an apples to apples trade even though you were getting a much larger diamond. I am so happy for you to read this update - you will not regret getting your original ring back and hubby will get over the money and the diamond talk - ha! Such a happy ending - love it!!

This makes me so happy! I'm so glad you and this gorgeous ring were reunited!

Yes I do remember I can’t stop staring at it and am so happy that it worked out in my favor.

I am happy it worked out for you as well! Obviously was meant to be - congrats!

So happy this all worked out for you! Both rings are beautiful!

I’m so glad that you got your originals ring back!

I'm really happy for you: the ring was meant to be forever yours!!! :)

I can’t even wear my solitaire anymore. I feel ridiculous wearing it.
Go with what you feel day by day. Sometimes we want what we want, only to find out maybe it wasn’t what we wanted. In this case, you were very fortunate to be able to reclaim the original, which is why I was so excited for you! Your wedding set is sparkly and beautiful and I am glad you are enjoying it. You might still want to wear the solitaire at some point. You could wear it as a right hand ring or maybe set it in a pendant. Some folks enjoy having an alternative to their original. Don’t beat yourself up over it and just keep your options open. You are a lovely soul!!

I am so happy for you that you were able to get it back if that is what you wanted!!

It's so wonderful you got your ring back. I know that pit in your stomach when you realize you did the wrong thing. It's beautiful!

It’s interesting at how big my halo ring looks next to my solitaire. Not the clearest of photos but this is why my solitaire also didn’t seem that impressive.
