I still get a real kick out of it, even after wearing it for three years now.
I love seeing it change in differing lighting environments.

I love being blasted with a surprise flash of violet or green when I'm least expecting it.
I'll often move it very slowly to study how the red morphs into red-orange, then orange, then orange-yellow etc.
I'll try to slowly move through the entire rainbow spectrum without loosing it.

The purity, intensity and saturation of the colors is indescribably breathtaking.
It's hard to describe but it is like the difference between live and recorded music.
Printed color, color on TV or film or a computer screen is not as pure and vivid.
The pure color almost stimulates an gut emotional reaction, as does live music.
The crimson creates a mood very different from the blue-violet.
The yellow seems to beam with happiness.

The surprises of beauty it offers throughout the day is kind of like smelling a rose as you are going for a walk, or catching an inspiring glimpse of nature.
I don't think the novelty or thrill will ever wear off for me.

I usually clean it 2 or 3 times a day.
It just looks so much better.
When your diamond is dirty you are not getting what you paid for.

Am I weird?
Do you all get the same thrill I get?
Or for some of you has the novelty worn off or do you take your diamond for granted?

No i don''t think you''re weird.

Diamonds are beautiful.
I stare at mine too (LOTS of times). They sparkle even in very very dim light like in the cinema

Absolutely! I never get tired of it, even when I look at my frozen spit diamond.

Okay I admit it - I''ve been honked at for not going at a green light before lol

Ditto!

I clean mine everyday and if I could get mine steam cleaned at the jewelers everyday, I would! Unfortunately, I have to settle for every time I''m at the mall which is every other weekend.

Ditto -- diamonds in the car on a sunny day are the best!

My diamonds always giving me pastel colors whenever I''m in my office. When I''m outside, it sparkles a lot of warm/cold colors. It makes me feel fantastic.

Yup. I thought it would have worn off, but no, I still look at it and get that little catch in my throat... both for what it means and because it''s so mesmerizing to look at.

Yes, you''re weird. Cleaning three times per day is a bit obsessive. . .

I love to admire my rings when I''m riding my scooter to work. The sun just hits it perfectly when I''m waiting at lights!

It''s not weird to us because people here all love dimonds so feel the same way. Why else would we pay thousands, even tens of thousands of dollers on a peice of cut rock other then because it makes us happy and brings us joy? Maybe people who are not into diamonds the way PSers are would find it weird, but I admit my heart does melt when one on MY diamonds throws tiny rainbows into my room on a sunny day.

I don''t think you''re weird either. I am infatuated with my diamond. I stare at it ALL THE TIME!! (Other non- ps-er people probably think i''m nuts)

It is!! When we first found pricescope I wasn''t sure that paying the premium for a hearts & arrows stone would make THAT big a difference day to day but among my friends and co-workers I haven''t found another stone that sparkles like mine! I''m so glad we went with an ideal cut

Andrew snapped this picture with his iphone a couple of weeks ago when we were in a parking lot in the car

It might be my favorite picture we''ve taken so far...

I love how much entertainment my diamond brings me. Last night, I was feeling so sad, and the sparklies cheered me up a little. Today I was at a conference, and the convention center''s lights were awesome. Checking out my light prism kept me occupied whenever I wasn''t taking notes. So wonderful! I clean mine once a day, and I get it steam-cleaned whenever I go to a jeweler''s--the couple hours after that are bliss on a sunny day or anywhere with recessed spot lighting (I think that''s what it is?).

My parents had their bathrooms done at the beginning of the year and they all have these little recessed spotlights. I LOVE being in one of those bathrooms with a nice diamond.

not weird at all, its an expensive item that gives me great joy and pleasure just staring into it especially during the times it displays the colorful fire.
