Is this stone worth it?

Hi all,

I''ve been working with a jeweler who''s a family friend on buying a stone. He brought this stone to my attention:

round cut
7.23 - 7.28 x 4.55mm
1.51 carat
Depth: 62.7%
Table: 58%
Polish/Symmetry: Very Good
VS1
F

Price: $16,000

ICan anyone help tell me if this is a good stone? I have another one that i''ll post in another thread.

Spread is not so good with this stone...usually 7.3s for 1.5 cts on the bottom end, moving into 7.4s and sometimes 7.5

Too deep and the table is on the bigger side, although not a deal breaker... but the depth is.

You don''t need an F or a VS1. With 16,000 you could get a killer stone! Have you considered dumping the family friend??

16k is a lot of money.....i would spend that on a larger and more proportionate stone, and sacrifice color. Color is not the most important quality (unlike what I thought prior to reading these forums)
