Is this princess as good as it looked to me?

I''ve been looking at princess cuts for a few months now, and I think I''ve finally settled on one.  Does this one look good?

1.43 E VS2
6.48 x 6.36 x 4.35mm
Depth: 68.4%
Table: 72%
Girdle: slightly thick
Culet: none
Main inclusion is a feather near one edge, barely visible with a loupe
$9800

I don''t have a sarin report, but the crown height is probably around 8% just from looking at it.  I know that many people recommend a crown height of 10-15%, but I looked at this stone next to an H that was supposedly an ideal princess cut (68% table, 70% depth, 11% crown) and I actually thought that one looked a little "chunky", and my lower-crowned E actually looked even more brilliant to me.  It really looked amazing to me--of 7 very similar stones I looked at back-to-back (all with tables/depths 68-73), this one was just so much brighter and more beautiful.

Should I go for it?

The specs on that princess generate no *red flags* in my book - you said it yourself - you''ve been looking for months & this one is "just so much brighter and more beautiful" to you - it sounds like a definate winner! Congrats on finding such a beauty!

Unfortunately the numbers mean nothing becuase there are two pavilion angles that can have very very different angles (far greater differences than the minor main facet differences we see in round diamonds.
Have you used an ideal-scope in your search?
You know there are stones in Cut Quailty Search with ideal-scope etc now?

Aside the 10 k tag... is there room for one $30 Iscope ?

It would not tell you if this diamond is nice (that you have already seen) - only if allot nicer exists out there

It sounds like it would be a good idea for me to get an Idealscope--I''ll ask for one and let you know!
