So, we are in the process of looking for the perfect diamond. No rush, we really want to do our research, take our time, and talk to more than just a couple diamond sellers. Anyways, we haven''t had a problem up to this point in making appointments to view diamonds. Just to go in and see what diamonds they have, and to meet the jewelers. So far so good.
I called Shapiro Diamonds in Dallas, TX, and asked to make an appointment. He asked what specs we were looking for and I told him. Then he asked me if we were looking anywhere else, and I told him we were. At that point, he told me that his office was a "SELLING OFFICE" and said that I needed to call him after we''d visited all the other places so he could beat their price. Is it just me, or does that seem shady?
