Is this GIA Certified E SI1 diamond good quality?

I'm no expert, but I don't like the black effects round the outside when it's head on - I'm not sure if it's obstruction from the camera or just really bad leakage, but I think it could be annoying in real life and make the stone look smaller.

I think under the table might also have some 'mush'.

I'm no expert either, but have spent a lot of time searching and finding my "forever" cushion a short while ago. I don't believe the type of inclusions on the stone you posted will present a big issue, but you should have JA confirm it is eye-clean.

I will share that the depth and extremely thick girdle would be a deal-breakers for me... you're essentially paying for a lot of stone that will not show on the face-up once mounted. I had a similar issue before I learned what to look for and went through owning 2 diamonds that I wasn't happy with before finding the right one. You can look at my thread history to see my recent stone upgrade - and it ended up being a smaller one, carat-wise, that had much more presence than my larger stone.

There's a fantastic educational thread from a PS'er - CharmyPoo, that help me so much! I encourage you to take a look as you're searching for your stone: https://www.pricescope.com/communit...rience-in-making-a-harry-winston-halo.183473/

I did take a look on JA using the specs I had when I found mine. There aren't a lot at the moment that I would be excited about, but this is an example of what I am describing above - reasonable depth and girdle, without the mushiness and potential leakage that OoohShiny has pointed out.

The clarity is an overkill and the contrast is a bit stronger than I would prefer, however, it faces up almost identical to the one you posted, costs less and has sharp facets when you "rock' the diamond in the video.

I'm sure the seasoned prosumers will be chiming in soon with more feedback!

I have been looking online for engagement rings in which I stumbled across the website James Allen. I found a cushion diamond that is E SI1 for a great price, but I can see tiny inclusions and blemishes, but they do not look that noticeable. However, I am no diamond experts, so can anyone tell me if this is a good quality diamond? https://www.jamesallen.com/mobile/l...cut/1.50-carat-e-color-si1-clarity-sku-375236

This stone is not well cut at all...definitely has mush, no defined facets, it all looks fuzzy and the edges definitely don't reflect light well (those black areas) so the stone will appear even smaller. It's also facing up very small....

Now this is gorgeous and what we generally look for in a modern cut cushion...overkill on color but still, better clarity, less expensive, BIGGER (look at dimensions NOT carat weight), and the cut is excellent: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.30-carat-d-color-vs2-clarity-sku-3124365 (the ASET of which could be found at another vendor who is selling it for more: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamo...3-Carat-D-Color-VS2-Clarity-Diamond-063Z1Z914)

Or any of these are also beautiful:

Thank you so much, I absolutely love the diamond in the first link that you provided. Also, is fluorescence in a diamond good or bad?

Fluor can lift a lower coloured diamond a couple of shades in daylight, and may glow a cool blue under blacklight UV lights. As long as it is not causing 'oiliness' or 'haze' in the diamond (only rarely the case, and usually in Very Strong Blue fluor) it should be just fine :)

Search 'fluorescence' and plenty of threads on this discussion will come up - have a read :)

As ooohshiny said, it is rarely an issue but it never hurts to ask and confirm!
