My first post here...I''m looking for a diamond to go in the setting I already have and I am trying to get something with complimentary size and quality....however, I do want something that isn''t a bad diamond. I saw a posting on a local website for a 0.90 Si2 H, with an EGL certificate for $1800. They list the dimensions as 6.11 X 6.06 X 3.83. From what I can gather so far, it is probably not good that the first dimension is smaller than the second. Any advice? Thanks.

What shape is it?

An EGL SI2 makes me nervous; probably not eye clean.

We need cut info. You have none of that

Sorry, it is round brilliant. The guy didn''t provide percentages.

Welcome to PS!

My first thought is that the price is very low for a 0.90 H SI2 diamond. An EGL SI2 will probably not be eye clean and I would want to see more information on the cut before making a decision.

Would you be willing to purchase a diamond online? If you give us your budget, we''d be able to help you find a great diamond.

I see from your comments you are doubting the diamond already, pass on this one and search PS vendors for a great diamond.

Stick around here and learn about cut quality before you make a purchase. How well a stone is cut best determines how the diamond will return light and sparkle.
