Is this crooked?

Hello everybody,
I'm kind of freaking out right now. I can't tell if maybe I am nervous and am trying to find as many flaws as possible that may not exist or what. I was looking at the ring that I plan on proposing to my girlfriend of 6 years with and I am not sure if maybe the center stone is off centered. I don't know if it's the lighting or what. Can you please tell me what you think? I can't sleep over it. Does this look like something to worry about? I can't get the image files to work so here are links to the pictures below. Sorry, the forum won't allow me to send links or anything! What gives?

To post the pictures, make sure they are resized to below 100kb. Then give them a unique file name, without any odd characters like % etc in it.
That should work.

It looks fine to me, the box and the ring are on a bit of an angle which makes it hard to tell but I think it is ok.

Thank you so much so far. By the way, does it look like I did alright taste wise? I know my girlfriend LOVES princess cuts in white gold so I shopped around and got this. I''m a 22 year old college student (just graduated).

You are most welcome and from the pics you posted I think the centre diamond is fine.

YES you did superbly well, that is a beautiful and substantial ring and your GF is going to be delighted - great job!!

Thank you very much. Serious question, a center diamond isn''t always pin straight right? Since it is done by hand? Granted there are many jewelers who probably can but I am talking about the majority of the time?

I think you might need an expert to answer that one Les who sets stones...With a Princess it might be easier to look for any discrepancies as I think our brains and visions are wired to notice straight lines and angles from what I have read, so it might be easier to think a diamond isn't quite centred...

If you are worried, who did you buy the diamond from? Do you have time to call them and explain your concerns? Also can you do another pic, get the ring and box as straight as possible when you take the shot, and shoot it so you are looking down on top of the diamond as you did with the first pic.

I think you are ok, the ring is unavoidably on a bit of an angle in the box so unless we knew it was perfectly square in the pic then I think it is fine. If you notice in the first pic it is very slightly tilted one way, then in the last, slightly tilted another. But in real life as these pics are greatly magnified I am betting it will look level.

If you are concerned though, contact the vendor and see what they can do or to reassure you.

I am less worried now. I had you reply on here and also had my mom ask every woman at her job right now and they couldn''t see anything either . Other than that scare, I am happy with it. The center stone is a princess cut .91 carat vvs2 h colored diamond, excellent cut.

It doesn''t look crooked to me your have a superb ring and diamond there Gl with your proposal I think she will love it.
