Can someone help identify the authenticity of this love ring?

I bought the Cartier love ring in the classic model online from an eBay seller who is reputable as they have 20+ stores in Japan as well. I received the ring today, however what threw me off was the circles on the ring as they seemed too big/wide compared to the authentic Cartier rings I have seen online. I understand that the serial number and engravings on the inside are different depending on where it is manufactured and when, etc but it is stamped 750 in the small little pattern on the left of the Cartier logo. The last photo refers to an example of a real Cartier ring on the left and the one I have right now is the photo on the right (a bit blurry but you get the gist of it when looking at the size of the circles). Japan is also known for strict rules against counterfeit items. Would appreciate anybody’s help!IMG_4162.jpegIMG_4156.jpeg

Hi!
Sorry, but it's fake! No doubt!!!
("Cartier" stamp and circles are poorly executed)

Thank you, I thought the same but was confused about how experts in the store could not identify that it was a fake when curating this item.

@Candy43: I get your disappointment!!!

That's disappointing. Did eBay authethenticate?

I also thought Japan had pretty strict rules about counterfeit goods.

No, I believe we do not have eBay authentication here in Canada for products, or at least I have not seen.

Yes I even messaged the seller and they claim to have authentic products but they are still allowing me to do a return. They are a reliable seller/store so I don’t know why this happened. I have also seen a couple rings from Japanese sellers (on eBay, who are also reliable via reviews and who have storefronts) with similar production to this ring which confuses me as well.

Unfortunately some fakes are very good and I’m sure the Japanese vendor bought it or took it on consignment in good faith. Those sellers literally have thousands of items. And these days they fake everything down to the receipt and Cartier won’t authenticate so it’s tricky buying both Cartier and Tiffany preloved. Return it if you aren’t happy.
