I'm considering this diamond for an engagement ring. It's other specs look decent, but I don't know what to make of this ASET. Can anyone give me some input?

Sorry for the brief post and no direct image link. Am I correct that the pattern is too erratic? Does this equate to poor light return, even though it has a good HCA and cut?

Since you have not mentioned any other details I'll base my comments entirely on the ASET image. (the other one is an arrow image).

That ASET image is a computer generated one and I don't really see much bad with it. Except a couple of places on the girdle appear painted. Those places will return light from different angle.

However that doesn't absolutely means that the stone is a performer. More information will be helpful in reaching a somewhat conclusion.

Here's some more info:
Depth: 61.7%
Table: 58.0%
Crown angle: 35.0°
Pavilion angle: 40.8°
Girdle: slightly thick

Medium fluorescence
Color H

Let me know if you need other info. I'm not familiar with what other info is usually provided in these type of posts.

Looks good. A real ASET image would be better, but there is nothing wrong with the one provided. Numbers are fine.

The only other thing to include and look at is the diameter measurements.

Just little more : Is the stone vs2 and below? Is the clarity grade based on clouds or internal graining? If the answer yes to the above a computer generated ASET is not enough because clarity characteristics can hamper performance. Other than that the ASET looks fine.

Thanks for the response. It's actually IF. Is there anything else I need to be concerned about before buying the diamond? What other ways can it be a poor performer? I'm somewhat nervous about buying such a big ticket item online.
