I think it’s an old mine cut.

Just curious is one more rare then the other? This one is so dirty I have no idea how to clean it! Lol

I’m not sure which is more rare, but it’s easy enough to clean. Just add a few drops of dish soap like Dawn to warm water, and let it soak for 45 minutes. After soaking, use a soft toothbrush to remove dirt and rinse clean. Be sure the stopper is in the sink before you have the ring anywhere near it, and repeat the soaking and scrubbing if needed.

Dry with a hair dryer to reduce water spots.

Very nice OMC. Please also take to a jeweler to have the setting checked. The prongs are wonky, the setting may not be original. You’ll want to make sure the diamond is secure and fits well. If you were ever interested in a re- styled ring for the diamond we would be happy to help you with that as well...because we kinda love that here, lol.
Please post pics after she’s clean so we an Ooooh and Aaaah over the sparkliness!

Oh lovely! Nice OMC! Also the original setting is lovely. I’d rest it into that in a heartbeat.

Oh that's a lovely OMC, but why was she moved to that clunky setting?
In my opinion it's dated and incohesive to the antique vibe Old miners give off.

The original setting is quite lovely & it seems as though they were a match made in heaven!
I'd swap the stones and put that CZ in that setting instead!

I agree, the modern setting is not suited for this stone. It's a very special stone.
