Hi,

I decided to buy this AGS stone and i am not certain if it''s graded under old or new system. Where i can locate the light performance section?. Does it look good to you based on the # and so. Here''s the link

Thank you,

Numbers looks good. This is graded under the performance based cut grading system. There should be anther flap with the information on the report that is not scanned in.

Thank you,
That is the recent Diamond Quality Document which is performance based and has been used for the past few years, the info you want will be on the right hand side of the report. It looks like a good diamond.

Thanks Stonecold and Lorelei.
I will wire my payment in 2 days and i just got this crazy idea that how i know if the stone i''ll receive will be the one i ordered ( given there is no laser inscription on this stone). Plus i don''t know why they did not fully scan the report. Is it the right hand side supposed to be like light performance, proportion factor, Finish ( Pol+Sym) all = 0 since it''s graded as AGS IDEAL 0 CUT ?

I''m thinking of dropping this stone and then request another with laser # inscripted. Should I ? . How about this one ( the price jump is significant though , 2500 different)

Really appreciate your inputs
Thank you

It seems often that the whole report isn't loaded and that the info to the size isn't listed but as this is the same for all AGS0 cut grade then thats what matters.

The diamond above looks ok, I wouldn't worry about not receiving the diamond you ordered as many steps are in place to make sure that the right diamond gets sent to the buyer ( mistakes can happen but this is rare). Trust but verify, what you could do is to take your diamond to an independant appraiser who can verify the diamond matches the report etc.

Here is a tool you can use to find an appraiser in your area.

Yes they can. They can still appraise the diamond if set apparently, from what I understand it is preferable if the stone is loose but it can be done as mounting permits.

It is probably a great performing stone, we just like to have additional confirmation on the performance, that an Idealscope image can tell, to really calm our nerves. But if only going by the numbers, which is all BN can give you, this is as safe as any other stone in terms of performance.

Sorry, that is my cautious response! As Stone says we like to have images and even with AGS0 I have seen some which have shown distinct leakage, this angle combo should be fine but without images I tend to reserve judgement. Unfortunately BN won't supply Idealscope or ASET images which are really helpful.

Thanks so much Lorelei and stone, i am now nervously waiting for the ring, will post its pics to inform you
