Put a tiny box under the tree, and put a clue in it to begin her treasure hunt.

My mom did this one year for my dad''s big present. It was a hoot. Each time he found another box, it had a clue that he had to solve to figure out where to go. Stuff like find the trunk of the orange elephant. (a reference to the burnt orange oldsmobile that we had at the time) Just silly stuff. It makes a memory that makes me smile more than 20 years after the fact, and that was just for a hunting rifle (couldn''t figure out a way to wrap it that he wouldn''t know what it was, so this was what we did)
