I'm looking at 1ct stone for an engagment ring and I'd like to keep it under $4500
What do you experts think of this, I found at diamond.com ? It appears to be a very good deal.

Round 1.01 ct
SI1
G
Depth 62.3
Tbl 54
M Gdl
vg/vg no flr

GIA cert

Would you consider this an Ideal cut? or close to Ideal
I don't have the angles
Thanks for you help!

Dave,

I posted this yesterday, but a lot of people thought I was a bit off in doing so, so you may not find it helpful either.

Based on the numbers you've posted, it could be considered ideal from a couple of different points of view. I see at diamonds.com they do segregate diamonds such that you can select from an ideal column, and although I don't see one there today that low in cost with those characteristics (G, SI 1), I do see options there for about $100 more with those characteristics, so I'm guessing the one you listed must have appeared there before. Without seeing more detail to flesh it out, it's hard to say more...or confirm...since that's what you're seeking to do.

On the Pricescope your diamond options above, you're clearly within $300 - $800 of your target, otherwise, so you're close, either way.

Thanks Ira. It appears to borderline on Ideal and seems to be a great value at $4300.

I'd appreciate more expert opinions!
