Is Male Patterned Baldness Sexy?

I love bald men!! I prefer them to shave their head as opposed to letting it get longer around the areas that still have hair.

SEXY!! Not all men can pull off the bald look though. Bald is beautiful.

JD used to buzz all his hair off and I spent a couple years begging him to take a razor to it. He''s big and dark and sexy to me any way, but boy I adore him bald!

My DH is bald and he shaves off what''s left every Friday. He looks yummy if I do say so myself.

Ummm...male patterned baldness with surviving hair intact? Not really.

But shaving off the remaining hair to balance the baldness? It can be sexy.

Although not all men can pull off the look though.

I vote yes. But it also depends on the balding pattern. Qball is sexy. Receding hairline from the forehead kept shaved is sexy. Balding in the back of the head not so much IMHO.

Bald can be super sexy.... But ya gotta have the right head for it, not everyone can rock the bald look.

But there''s nothing NOT sexy about Chris Meloni or Miguel Ferrer. Ooo, baby.

seems like women jumped to just being bald as sexy... I answered based on "male pattern baldness" meaning the pattern in the hair which is not inherently sexy IMO. When they shave off the hair they lose that pattern and that to me is different. My last boyfriend prior to my husband went bald WAY early. By 20 he was mostly bald and when it was short it was fine, when it was long it was ridiculous.

When the top falls out men should shave the rest off! Nothing says "I have lost touch with reality" like a comb-over or a balding guy with a ponytail (visualize the loser comic book store owner on the Simpsons). It ain''t foolin'' anyone. My husband started shaving his head at age 18 just to save time and energy, I think he wears it very well. Another family member has left tufts of hair around the sides...not attractive at all. I wanted him to shave it so badly for some recent family weddings, he looked like an insane scientist in our wedding photos.

Unless the guy has a desperate comb-over, losing it on top and yet keeping the sides all neat and trimmed, can look good. UNLESS the guy has a head that rises like a MOUNTAIN from between. There is this guy I see (at a local book store) weekly and every time, it''s like DUDE! You have a dome and forehead that reach Mt. Everest regions! Lose the fringe!

In general though, a guy is sexy or he''s not. I''m sure as heck not focused on his gleaming pate as indication of it.

Sexy bald/baldING guys abound. Patrick Stewart anyone??

I do find it attractive on some people - aka Jason Statham. But he also epitomizes the ''man''s man'' in almost all the movies he plays. So I think that is part of it. I think if you embrace it, instead of trying to hide or conceal it, it''s attractive, just because of the confidence one exudes. But then again, I find confidence in oneself sexy

I don''t mind balding in men. DH started losing his har early. He has sparse hair on the top and a little tuft right in the front. We keep it trimmed very short, but not completely hairless. I think the small tuft is adorable, but had I first seen him with his tuft I might not have thought so. He is a hat wearer so I rearely saw his hair, or lack of hair regularly until we moved in together.

I agree that if a man loses it on top he should stop keeping other areas long. Bald on top with a ponytail is the worst.

Don''t want to offen anyone, but I don''t find it attractive. Not saying some guys don''t look pretty good with it, but not my cup of tea. My dad still has a full head of hair and DH does too (in his 40''s).

Nothing is sadder than a desperate combover.
It reminds me of a 58 year old woman trying to look 22.
