Is being SI2 for a 3 ct a huge durability risk?

Frankly, the search for the best value for a 3 ct stone has taken me eveywhere and back. Right now I am leaning towards a I color and SI2 clarity. But, I started to get anxious about durability. I know my darling FF and I can totally see her bumping the ring into things. Is my concern real? Or am I overthinking it?

it depends on the inclusion/s. a stone that is si2 due to carbon spots for example might be negligibly affected, but if its a si2 because it has a giant feather (otherwise known as a crack) then i would be a bit more suspect of the durability risk.

Is it eyeclean? I would be ecstatic to be given a 3ct diamond as a surprise but would be pretty disappointed after finding a visible inclusion. I've considered stones with visible inclusions and in certain circumstances would happily buy one, but i wouldn't give something with a visible flaw as a gift

eta: i don't like the clarity on the 2 si2's you posted about in your other thread at all. eye clean means "eye clean at a normal viewing distance'. whats a normal viewing distance? its open to debate. just because someone calls a stone eyeclean at a normal viewing distance doesn't mean it'll be eye clean when your FF is looking at it as close as she possibly can! you originally wanted si1 or better... i would stick to that original thought.

Ideally these si2's would need inspecting in person. even if you buy them and inspect them at home before committing to them

Thank you, I really appreciate your feedback. The last two stones I posted were confirmed eye clean by a jeweler that has a good reputation on PS. He stated he saw the stones himself so it wasn't even the vendor who claimed it. For new readers, here is the thread:

It is still really hard for me to go by 'words' and opinions but that is all I have right now. I did ask to get videos of those two stones and eventually I plan to go either see the stones in person by flying to the vendor or have one shipped to me (after full payments). Nevertheless, it's all quite an ordeal so the more prep work I can do now the better.

I still prefer a SI1, I, AGS0 stone. However, they (3 ct) are just hard, if not impossible, to find for $30k. As such I am weighing either a 3 ct SI2 or a smaller SI1....

You will ptobably have insurance on such a stone anyway.
