Is an G in colour and SI a good diamond

My fiance is looking at a diamond for me that is a 1.51 princess cut but it is G in colour and an SI, he says he looked at it with a jewelers eye and he couldn''t see any inclusions, he says it looked as clean as a VS1 he looked at... Can this be true?
