Is a Tanzanite tennis bracelet a bad idea?

Given how soft the stones are? I picked up this bracelet and am debating keeping it bc of the softness of the stones. Does anyone here own - tanzanite tennis bracelet? Thoughts? Skin is so dry. Sorry. Lol.

I’ve never banged my mikimoto pearl bracelet so I think you’ll be fine if you only wear it to nice places and don’t rummage with that hand!

It’s a “going out” wear not an all day everyday doing everything type of bracelet.
Like how I wear my opal bracelet, treated with kindness and care.
It’s also very beautiful.

Very pretty piece! As you said, tanzanite is relatively soft (about 6.5). But it is also brittle and lacks toughness (perfect cleavage... not the good kind either). So it's sort of a trifecta of durability issues. As others have said, if you wear is occasionally, you may be fine. If you want it for daily wear, perhaps return this one and look for more of a cuff or hinged oval bangle design that will keep the gems at the top, and not under your wrist. HTH!
