Hey, Jo!

I gave them my decision on Tuesday afternoon, and I decided not to take the job. I wrote up a very nice memo to all of the partners, thanking them for the opportunity and telling them how flattered I was that they offered it to me. I just don''t think I would enjoy the Office Manager job as much as I enjoy what I do now. My job is never boring . . . I do something different every day. But the OM job would the the same thing every single day with very little variety, and I think I would get pretty bored with it. So, I think they''re going to offer it to one of our two legal secretaries, who is also our receptionist. Assuming she takes the job (which I hope she will ~ I think she''d be great at it!), we''ll be looking for a new receptionist/legal secretary!

Well, it sounds like you made a good decision. Not that the other would have been bad or anything, but I think its totally understandable that the other job sounds a little tedious. Granted some people thrive on tedious.

So, anything else new or interesting going on in your world?

LOL! Yep, the eye rolling definitely happens! (I'd be giving them the finger too, but I'm always afraid someone will walk into my office at just the wrong moment!)

On a happier note, DH just got a very nice promotion!!! I'm SO excited for him! He's been an electrician for about ten years, but he's only been with his current company a little less than five years. His company employs literally HUNDREDS of guys, some of whom have been there for 20 years or more. DH's boss is retiring and another guy who manages a different department of the company is taking over most of DH's boss's job. DH will be taking over that guy's job, as well as a small portion of his boss's job. He will be managing about 12 to 20 guys! He loves electrical work, but he's always really wanted to be an electrical engineer (which requires A HUGE AMOUNT of schooling). The new job would be very similar to what an electrical engineer does (without the requirement of an engineering degree), so I think DH will really enjoy it! I'm SOOOOO PROUD of him!!!

I sold my 6 year old, 17.3 hand anglo-arab warmblood cross a couple of years ago because he had real jumper talent and jumping wasn''t my thing. Dressage is my passion

He probably could have done either beautifully, he was perfect for dressage, but you could tell his heart was in jumping. He needed to be in competitions, and those weren''t my thing either haha.
