Ahhh......I see. That is a very hard decision. But, better to make it now, then after another 10 years have passed you by, and its harder to make a transition. But being its a small company, I''m sure that makes it even more difficult. Your not just a number when there''s only 5 peeps.....Keep you chin up. And be fair to yourself. You have to do what will make you happy. Is there a chance that you could return to the job further down the road if you don''t find something better?Date: 1/7/2009 12:06:25 AM

Hi, Jo! Glad you had a good Christmas!![]()
Well, my job is kind of a problem right now. I recently got a performance review that was not (in my opinion, anyway) as fair as it should have been. This isn''t the only problem, but just one of the biggies. There have been quite a few things over the nine and a half years that I''ve been there that have been bothersome. I think I''m finally getting to the point where it''s a good idea to see what else is out there. I used to think that I would work for this firm until I retire, but I just don''t see that happening now. I have a couple ideas (one in particular) for new jobs that might be better for me in a number of ways. It''s just SOOOO hard to make this kind of a decision when I''ve been with this firm for so long.![]()
I haven''t really been happy for a while now. It just seems like things keep changing, and not for the better. I don''t think that trend is going to stop anytime soon either, unfortunately. So, at this point, I''m kinda looking around to see what else is out there!![]()
How''s everything with your job and your DH''s job? This economy sucks, and it seems like people are getting laid off left and right. I''m definitely planning to hang onto the job I have now until I have something else lined up, that''s for sure!![]()
My job is great. I truely love what I do and I get a great deal of joy from that. I work with a great group of people and have some wonderful friendships. That being said, there are still tough times for us. Even in the medical field, jobs get cut, things get downsized, etc. etc...There''s actually a big meeting tonight to discuss moving all of the medical records and radiology jackets to a central location. Our company has 10 different clinics, and each building has its own medical record room and radiology file room, with people to man that. If they combine to this "central locale" more than likely, people will be losing their positions. Its very hard to see this happen, even though my job is safe, its still the people that I work with very directly.
DH is basically just your typical entrapeneur. He does a bit of everything, and works for himself, so he''s not getting laid off anytime soon!
