Hey Supa Granny
35.gif

Have you decided what Christmas gift you want to get yet hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?????

Love, Linda
xoxoxoxoxoxoxox
Ohhhhhh, Miss Linda . . . I just don''t know!!!
7.gif

BUT, I do have some good news: DH agreed to a budget increase!
27.gif

I''m REALLY leaning toward either a Coach bag with matching wallet, OR the Beverley K band that I saw on the Pearlman''s website. (The one at Fay Cullen is pretty and almost exactly the same, but there are tiny differences . . . and I''d just LOVE to have a "real" Bev K!!!) I''m so torn!!!
40.gif

Supa Granny Emm is ripping her hair out!!!
14.gif

Ha!!! I bet you are sweetie Pie. That is a big decision to make. I wouldn''t know what to do either. I think I would go for the Beverly K band...... but.... that... is... just... me

LOL! Yes, DH and I are confirmed fish nerds!
9.gif

We actually have three fish tanks in our house: a 30-gallon saltwater tank in the living room, a hexagon-shaped goldfish tank (also in the living room), and a small freshwater tropical fish tank on my dresser in our bedroom. We would really like to get a bigger saltwater tank someday though, and then we''d probably turn our current saltwater tank into another freshwater tank . . . for a total of four fish tanks in our house! LOL!
41.gif

Our saltwater tank is the one that gets ''spoiled'' the most, I guess. They really are pretty high-maintenance, but probably not as bad as you''d think. Once it''s all set up and the right bacteria are growing in it, it''s basically no worse than maintaining any other fish tank. DH does all the hard work . . . I just look at the pretty fish! Hee hee!
4.gif

Our saltwater tank currently has a half-black pygmy angelfish, a fire goby, a clown fish (and yes, his name is Nemo!), and seven green chromis. The fish we got recently are six of the seven green chromis (we already had one and he wanted some buddies!) and a clam! I just love the clam! He''s so cool!
10.gif

Sorry to hear about the bruising! I hope everything''s OK!
40.gif
me too!!

about 15 yrs ago i had a 240 gal saltwater tank full of angelfishes. they''re so expensive even though i bought them from a friend who''s in the wholesale tropical fish business. i was into Discus from the 60''s-80''s and then got interested in japanese koi since the 70''s. i spent more $$$''s in the fish hobby than my wife''s jewelry.

LOL! DF, it does get expensive, doesn''t it?!?!
22.gif

I''m so jealous of your 240 gallon saltwater thank that you had! DH and I would really like to get a bigger saltwater tank someday, but right now we just don''t have the money OR the space! They are such a big investment, and take up so much room!
23.gif

Also, I''m a big fan of discus! They''re such beautiful, peaceful fish. I''m hoping that eventually, when we get our bigger saltwater tank, I can talk DH into turning our current 30 gallon saltwater tank into a discus tank!
11.gif

Koi are awesome too! I''d love to have a koi pond someday. I guess I have a fish wish list! LOL!

LOL! Skip, I am looking at this Bev K band from Pearlman''s. I''m told that Pearlman''s is having a 20% off sale right now, AND that they usually give a discount of some kind to PS members as well . . . sooooo, that might make this band a bit more affordable!
22.gif

I also found almost the exact same band at Fay Cullen . . . but there are a few tiny differences and I like the Bev K band just a tiny bit better. I know some PSers have had trouble with Fay Cullen''s customer service, but they were wonderful when we bought my wedding band from them. Buuuuut . . . if given a choice, I''d rather buy from Pearlman''s because they have SUCH an amazing reputation here on PS! The difference is the price . . . Pearlman''s is about $800 more expensive (but of course that''s before the 20% discount and any PS discount they might give us). I wonder . . . maybe Pearlman''s would even be willing to match Fay Cullen''s price, since it''s almost exactly the same band?!?!
33.gif

I would probably wear the band as a RHR, at least for now. Eventually, my current e-ring will occupy my right ring finger, after I get my upgrade in a couple years! Then, I would have to switch the Bev K band to a different finger, but I wouldn''t be able to get it sized since it''s an eternity band. I know there would be no way to make it any bigger at that time, but do you think I could have a jeweler put sizing beads or something similar into it to make it smaller? Decisions, decisions!

Get the Bev K and you can always return it but I don''t think that will happen

Aw! DH and I were just looking at Pearlman''s website together, and I was showing him all of the other Bev K bands that Pearlman''s carries, just to see if there was another one that he thought was prettier. We went through ALL 23 PAGES of Bev K bands, and every one I mentioned, he just said "meh." Until I got to the one I''ve been wanting, and he said, "That''s the one!" Aw, I picked a good one!

We did. We went to my parents house, and stayed until 6 or so. That worked out fine with me, and he seemed to be ok with it too.
So what''s the dealio with your job? Do you have a particular prospect that got you thinking of quitting, or just not happy?

Hi, Jo! Glad you had a good Christmas!
9.gif

Well, my job is kind of a problem right now. I recently got a performance review that was not (in my opinion, anyway) as fair as it should have been. This isn''t the only problem, but just one of the biggies. There have been quite a few things over the nine and a half years that I''ve been there that have been bothersome. I think I''m finally getting to the point where it''s a good idea to see what else is out there. I used to think that I would work for this firm until I retire, but I just don''t see that happening now. I have a couple ideas (one in particular) for new jobs that might be better for me in a number of ways. It''s just SOOOO hard to make this kind of a decision when I''ve been with this firm for so long.
15.gif

I haven''t really been happy for a while now. It just seems like things keep changing, and not for the better. I don''t think that trend is going to stop anytime soon either, unfortunately. So, at this point, I''m kinda looking around to see what else is out there!
1.gif

How''s everything with your job and your DH''s job? This economy sucks, and it seems like people are getting laid off left and right. I''m definitely planning to hang onto the job I have now until I have something else lined up, that''s for sure!
