Beautiful work. When looking at the rings I wonder why the rings become hollowed out (for lack of better word) on the sides. Can someone explain to me if this is to keep the weight of the ring less for comfort, or is it for cost savings?

These look like pieces you’d see at ACC Craft shows. There are so many wonderful artisans at this level of show.
