Wow, cool. Very interesting. Sounds like a good deal for BN and internet sellers. Thanks Storm.
It looks like they have a huge volume in sales so that is how they make their profit. Wow, I could type a lot about that but I got go. Thanks again.

I read through it but I am not sure that it was first page worthy. At anyrate I hope BN is paying its employees well! they are kicking some butt!

also, I felt that there could have been a little less direct comparison between, what, the worlds number one online Diamond/jewelry store and compare it to an "average" fictional local BandM jeweler...

I thought it was very interesting reading, although not really surprising. Thanks for posting this, Storm!

I do take issue with one "opinion" shared in the article: the point where the author stated that shopping online seems like "work" seems a little off to me. I think it''s a lot more "work" to actually drive to a B&M, spend time there sweating under the lighting and seeing a lot of stones/jewelry in a short amount of time and having to make a decision based on those few minutes. IMO, being able to shop at my leisure in the comfort of my home or office setting makes me a much more relaxed and happy customer in the end.

Thanks for the info...it was an interesting read!

I agree that it would be less hassle not dealing with uneducated sales people and get all your information on line.

It would be easyer on me it they shopped online, I could move more volume then if I had to wait on each customer personally, but I would miss that.

This is what I like.

That you would enjoy coming into a store to buy and not regretting the moment but to enjoy the moment.

When you come in you are treated like family and most of the conversation is on what you are doing and how about the kids and that new cat or dog you just bought and not so much about what can I sell you.

Having people stop buy and asking how you are.

Referrals from having a great experance person to person not just price but from a dazziling personality.

Being honest with people even if they didnt buy a diamond from you.

Just a good old home town honest person to deal with.

A small store that the owners still have hands on and overhead is low.

People in the store that have degrees in this field.

Actually somebody that cares.

Thats what I like in a store.

Everybody have a great summer

That sounds a lot like the gun shop I used to hang out at.
I didnt mind spending a few bucks over mail order for stuff there and often just dropped by too see what was new and hang out for a few hours.
Haven''t found the same thing in a jewelry store around here.
