Insurance premium question

Hi everyone just want to know how much you are paying in premium for jewelry insurance, if you are comfortable to disclose. I found an insurance company in my area (I live outside of US) that is 1.75% of insured amount. How does that sound? Havent'' asked them details yet.

It really depends on the type of coverage and where you live. Chubb policies, which are cash-out (the best coverage) are typically 1.5-2%. The more common "like and kind" policies would be less, I would guess anywhere from .75-1.5%, with the less expensive probably being an add-on to a homeowners/renters policy.

Also keep in mind that if you live anywhere urban or otherwise high-risk, premiums will probably be higher overall.

It does depend on where you live. My homeowners was 1% and Chubb is just a little over that, maybe 1.1%.
