I will be getting my wedding bands very soon. They will be stacking. 1 full diamond eternity, 1 full black diamond eternity, and 1 white gold band.
My question is really for the diamond eternity band. Do I need insurance on this? I do have my e-ring insured, but not sure on whether to get the band insured also. The specs that I can remember on it: .74ct, F-G range, not positive on the clarity. It didn't coast a ton, but...
How many of fellow PS'ers have heir bands insured?

I have my eternity band insured. I have over 1 carat of diamonds and about 2.5 carats of sapphires. Quality of the diamonds are G, VS. I feel better having it insured. It wasn't inexpensive, so if I lost it, that would be a good amount of money lost. I guess it all depends on how you feel.

please post pics of those rings when you get them!

My question would be, would you be able to afford to replace them if something should happen to them? If you think yes, then there probably isn't a need to insure. If no, then I would check to see the cost of adding them to your insurance.

For me I have anything that cost me over $2000 insured. I know that I don't sit on that kind of money (like new bling to much :naughty: ) so it is worth it to insure those rings.

Good Luck

Okay, so I did some price quoting on Jeweler's Mutual. That's who I have for my e-ring.
For just the diamond eternity, it would approx be $30.00 (their minimum annual premium), BUT if I add the black diamond ring, which I wasn't really considering insuring, cause it was kinda on the cheaper side of things, it would only go up $2.00 more.
So $32.00 for 2 rings.
I think I will insure both now just for the piece of mind. Thank you guys for your opinions and help!

I have my band insured, it is a 5 stone .75ct VS1 F color and I cannot afford to replace it so it is insured, I think it was a good call to insure your bands.

BTW - my homeowners covers any piece up to $5000; I have riders for the items above 5. Good luck! Can we see these rings???
