They are all pretty settings, my question to both of you is ... Is she hard on jewelry? Does she have a job that will expose the ring to alot of banging around? Does she wash her hands often? (i mean during the day, you know germy work place? Teacher, nurse, doctor?
I always worry about all that pave and a stone getting knocked out. I love pave, but i figure the more you have of it the greater your chances are of losing a stone.

She's in sales so not a lot of banging around. I've pointed out the fact of the diamond sitting up rather high and she's not concerned with that. She says if she is going to be working in the yard or doing certain things around the house she'll take it off. She's not hard on jewlery from what I've ever been able to tell. I don't however want to buy something she has to baby all the time.

Does anyone else have any insight on these style rings. I'm hoping to make a purchase this week

Thanks, Brent

They all seem very similar. Other than the bluenile ring. That one the band doen't stay flat to the bottom of the head but goes up towards the middle. You can see what I mean if you click on the picture that shows the ring from the side profile you will see what I mean.

The other major different between each of the rings are the head (the part that holds the diamond), each one is different and the ardimore has 6 prongs instead of 4 like the others. It is really going to come down to which look you like the best.

i hope that helps

I really like the whiteflash one.

Whiteflash: This would be my favorite except for the head on the ring. It looks closed/clunky to me. I'd see if they could swap the head out for the Legato head, or one of the others.

Adiamor: Looks chunkier than the others.

Blue Nile: I like the cathedral shoulders, adds a nice architectural touch.

James Allen: I'm not a fan of basket heads, so I'd personally pass.

I think the whiteflash is stunning!

also- as long as she is careful and understands the delicate nature of pave... stones can be knocked out.... then go full steam ahead. I would think that a vendor stands behind their product and would fix missing stones for no charge or very minial- but if you are concerns ask the companies about lost pave set stones..

Thanks for the reply Amy!! My concern has been the fragility of the pave settings. Her and I have discussed it and she is aware she will be have to be careful when doing certain things. I'll have the ring insured so in the event something happens I'm covered. I have found a ring locally and they are going to email me some better pics than the ones I took with my phone. The ring comes in 18k white gold or platinum and I haven't made up my mind on that just yet. I'll post the pics when I get them. Thanks all of you for the insight.
