Hi All,

I'd like to see if anyone can chime in to confirm the stone WF suggests is a good one before it's shipped out. I was told there's a chance it'll ship out tomorrow so any inputs before they ship out would be greatly appreciated. To clarify, inputs regarding thoughts on performance of linked stone would be greatly appreciated.

I was contemplating between ACA & ES but the sales associate and her colleagues concluded that they gravitated more towards the ES after comparing the two. My concern is that in the ASET image, right in the center, where the green area is faded, is that light leakage? That might pose the stone to be less brilliant/sparkly?

That's a great diamond. There's no light leakage with that stone.

The reason it isn't an ACA it seems is because a couple of the hearts aren't quite perfect, although still very very good.

All the angles look good, images look spot on, and if the WF recommended it over an ACA then it's good.

Beautiful stone...nothing to worry about. Its an AGS000 stone with IDEAL light return...so no need to worry about the center.

understood, I wasn't' too sure, thank you both so much for your input! :twirl:

Looks like a fabulous stone to me, too!

That's a beauty!!! Congrats!

Thank you so much for the re-assurance! greatly appreciated!

Oops- just wanted to address your question. The green/red smudgey area you are asking about is not leakage. I imagine it's just a photo anomaly. Congrats again! I suspect it's going to be amazing!

Excellent choice, OP!

This is not usually a photo anomaly. <40.8 pavilion gives a green table reflection in the centre of the stone and a >=40.8 pavilion stone is red in the centre. When it is close you can get a slight mixing of the colours giving that faded appearance. There is a nice diagrammatic explanation for this which I cannot find...

What's interesting is the specified pavilion is 40.9, so I'd expect it to be red..

Looking at the ASET generated by AGS on the certificate, it is mostly red (there may be a couple of pavilions under the magical angle where it turns green hence a few green spots there).

Still don't understand why the physical ASET photo is mostly, green, probably related to slightly different set up to taking the photos.

Regardless it's a beautiful diamond

So knowledgeable everyone on PS is. Btw, I noticed that there are quite a bit of feathers as inclusions, would this pose durability issues? Should've asked before but I completely forgot to.

I believe I can return within 30 days or so since they've already shipped so any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you again so much!!

No durability issues.

It's a debated point at SI2 clarity, even then it's generally accepted SI2 graded by GIA is fine. VS2 should have no problems.

Please see a post by Wink recently:

That feather has survived the cutting process and white hot friction heat, it is not likely to open further during normal wear.

I would be comfortable with that feather.
