IMG_1255.jpg IMG_1256.JPG IMG_1258.JPG Hi,
New to the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong area. I'd like any thoughts about this pendant please and it's silver mark. Silver mark is indistinct and says something like C or G or U then TER then another indistict letter followed by the word SILVER.
Thankyou :).

It is hard to see your photo, but it may say
STER SILVER, (Sterling silver) and parts of the letters are cut off because of the curved surface they are stamped on.
It's very beautiful!

Ah, yes of course it is!. Easy to see when someone points out the obvious
:). Thankyou.
I wonder if anyone would know roughly a date for it?

I'm thinking 1880s-1910.
A gorgeous piece!

Is it a coloured photo do you think or a miniature painting?
Is it worth getting valued? I don't know much about jewellery but I picked it out of a box of costume tat at a village fete as I loved it. Cost me 50p.......

It's definitely a hand-colored photo. The stones look like glass, but take it to a local jeweler, and see what they think. They can test the stones to be sure, and give you an opinion of value.
It is a lovely antique piece.

Thankyou. I will do. Seems sad that something so precious and personal ended up in a bag of cheap beads!

If you google search mourning pendants and look under images you'll probably find a similar pedant with enough info to help you date this one.
