Hi all! My husband recently surprised me with a ring I had saved on my Etsy and I am trying to find out some more information on it/verify the information from the seller is correct.

The seller advertised the ring as a 1930s 10k gold with a lab created periwinkle sapphire. I have already taken the ring to my local jeweler to be sized so I know the setting is 10k gold but wanted to verify the stone and ask if anyone knew anything about the engraved hallmarks?

It's hard to tell from the photo, but the hallmark seems to read "GOTHIC". I found a manufacturer called "gothic" that has been around since 1917. Their home page doesn't provide much other information, but if you go further into the site there is a contact number. http://www.gothic-jewelry.com/

Also - this ring featured on the Gothic Jewelry facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/gothicjlry/) appears to be stamped GOTHIC in the same style as the stamp in your ring.

That's a lovely ring, by the way - I love the art deco styling! Wear it in good health!

It's a really cool looking setting. It looks like some of the Edwardian rings I've been looking at lately. Apparently Art Deco and Edwardian style have some overlap. Great find. :)
