What is it?? :read:

For growing your own edible mushroom?

I would like to play with one of those kits but, spores and tiny black flies aren't welcome

My mind totally went another way..... I guess i was a bit of a wild child in school. :loopy:

Do you have a link? I use an Aerogarden to grow herbs and I love it. I'm curious about what you're using

We have purchased a couple of those DIY kits that come in a cardboard box to the insistance of my husband..

"Oh it will be a great school holiday project for the kids honey!!"

"Don't worry I will look after it honey!!"

Well, the first one turned out with these massive mutant 5 mushrooms in one that everyone refused to eat. The second didn't even get that far, but did manage to cover my laundry cupboard with black spores. THAT was fun!!

They are a good idea if you follow the directions properly, but if you are anything like my husband, stear clear!! :))

Mine too. I guess I deal with too many wild teenagers. I started thinking about hydroponics, genetically engineered mushrooms...

I met a woman a few years ago who grew sprouts in her basement and sold them to local restaurants. She said she was going to start growing mushrooms as well as there was a huge demand for this. By the ton of beautiful jewlry she was wearing I am guessing it was somewhat of a lucrative business.

Our mushrooms before they went mutant :)

I also had an aero6. No working it in the summer. Maybe starting up soon, with cuttings, when the plants outside starts to die from the cold. Mint, basil and stevia. Maybe start a microtom too, should have enough space. :P
