Hi, I didn''t see anyone in Rochester, NY under independant appraisers. Does anyone know
of someone with a good reputation? I''d really like to work with an
appraiser locally.

i don''t know the name of an independent appraiser, but my family has been purchasing from mann''s jewelers for ages--perhaps you can call them to recommend someone qualified?

I second what Reena says... Mann''s does great work, I am sure that they can direct you to a certified *outside* appraiser.
