Someone I know just had the funniest thing happen (depending on how you look at it

)!

He is dating this girl for just a few weeks and things are going well....
Recently, he had to leave his car by the mechanic for some repairs.
Left with no choice, he borrowed another friends car for a date.
This (mutual) friend is recently engaged to his soon to be wife.

The friend lends his car without a problem.
Our friend calls the next morning in a state of hysterics!

...It turns out that the car lender had recently proposed to his fiancee by scrawling the words "will you marry me" in red lipstick on the passenger side visor mirror.

He proposed by asking his girl to retrieve something from behind the visor.....

Well, our friend the car borrower is driving along with his date, when she pulls down the visor to check her makeup and finds the proposal message which the car owner had forgotten to remove...!!!!

Suffice to say, explaining the situation was a picnic!!!

LOL!!!!

The feedback I got was that the date didn''t know whether to smack him or laugh at the "prank".

Good thing she chose the latter because when she heard the truth, she was pretty tickled.

The postscript is that they are still dating and our friend swears that this "episode" was a turning point in their relationship.
I''ll believe it when they get engaged.....

ROFL! If the relationship ever gets to *that* stage, he should propose again in the exact same way lol

Lol... I know for a fact, my stomach would have lurched if I would have been that girl - but then I would have laughed. Glad it had a happy ending thus far... I agree with Porridge - should he ever propose... that incident should be involved somehow!

Well, I''ll keep you all posted.

Personally, (and I may be waaay off with this one..not sure) I don''t think it''s gonna get to the finish line.

Why? Well, you know how dating couples are sometimes too involved with each other....??
You can always recognize the type..they''ll be in the mall on Sunday strolling along and "living" in bliss with each other while they are completely oblivious to their surroundings??
This couple has those symptoms.

I just think it''s too scripted, know what I mean? It just seems more of a temporary infatuation than a shared commitment and objective to making things work.
Once the novelty wears off...I''m not sure it''s gonna happen..

I guess we''ll see.
