Hi everyone,

I started an earlier thread asking about another stone https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/3-carat-round-h-si1-ags-ideal.199523/, but got no replies. Luckily, I think I've stumbled onto a better one. Please let me know what you think. I have 24 hours to make a decision.

I think its numbers look right, but I'd love to hear your input on the idealscope image. My other concerns are the H color and SI1 clarity. The vendor's evaluation came back as "Your diamond is very eye catching and has excellent fire, brilliance, and scintillation. It's perfectly eye clean and you'll view its "H" color as white."

I asked them to evaluate if the stone is a high H or closer to an I, so I'm confused by what " 'H' color as white" means. While I'm confident in their "perfectly eye clean" evaluation, S.O. is hesitant. So I told him I'll ask the experts on RT for their opinions. What do you guys think? Thank you for your help!magnified_image_0.jpg

It looks good, as long as it's eye clean for you, and the vendor has a good return policy should it not be... :))

When I look for SI1 or SI2 stones, I am very happy when I find ones that the grade setting inclusions are twinning wisps, as yours is.

Thank you guys. Still waiting for clarifications from the vendor.

However, what do you think of the IS image? This particular vendor has offered IS images that were the regular raspberry red, pink, with black and white contrast before, so this must be some new thing they're doing. I find it too saturated in bright red --- kind of hurts my eyes from looking at it too long. The red shades are so close that don't know how to critically read it. The areas where it's usually white is now a murky greige color that blends into the background, and the tip of the arrows aren't black like the body of the arrows.

Can some IS expert offer some guidance and teach me how to read this? Should I ask the vendor to take another image, but tone it down? Although I don't know if that's possible within the time frame I have.
