Impatient nerves?

how does anyone wait patiently for their little sparkly package? Also does anyone else get really nervous wondering if it will look ok or if they picked a nice diamond. I think the ring in my profile pic is what I am getting. 2 carat Halo.

Any Aussies dealt with Australian Diamond Brokers, how was the experience?

I think we all get anxious waiting for our bling in the mail...I have to say, with the exception of one time, the bling that I received in the mail has
always exceeded my expectations!

The one time was from a vendor we dont seem to recommend anymore...I did not like some small aspects of the setting that I could not tell
from pictures and the diamonds were not PS quality IMO (it was a 5 stone). They were sparkly but I was not able to decipher any H&A arrows in the stones (they
were not sold as H&A...I dont expect perfect hearts but do think I should be able to pick some arrows out).
I sent that ring back and started over.

I hope you got opinions here on the diamond in advance! if you did, you shouldn't have any worries in that regard!

I think I get anxious with most of my packages...something that is THIS big? would have me on my toes for quite a while.

OMG, YES. I'm expecting my ring on Friday and am soooooooooooooooooo nervous. I've never had anything lower than a G in color, so going in blindly to an I (2.937 carat ACA) makes me a little nervous. I've been so excited about this diamond, so if there's a black inclusion or there's something I don't like about it, I will be really disappointed. There are always other diamonds out there, but this one faces up HUGE for the weight...

When is your ring due?

I had a ring made this year, and ordered well in advance because I wanted it delivered whilst I was visiting my son in the US (so if for any reason it wasn't right, I could return it immediately). So basically 2 months or so from the time of ordering.

The delivery day arrived and I waited patiently for the package to arrive. When I opened it, I was absolutely stunned, it was so much more than I was expecting.

When I was waiting on my Fed ex diamond delivery “out for delivery between 8am and 6 pm” I thought I was going to “die” by 8.37am. The waiting, the anxiety (will I love it, will it be right”) is a killer.

Thanks everyone it's nice to know i'm not alone in this obsession. Not sure if this link to my diamond works but I definitely asked in here and used the knowledge of this forum to try and find a good diamond.

LOL KKJohnson that is hilarious. I will have to be patient I received an email from the jeweller he received the diamond yesterday morning so has started setting it. How long does this take I wonder hmmmmmmm.

The only concern I have is that there is a cloud inclusion but he assured me the diamond is beautiful and not lab enhanced at all. I am so excited.

Happynewlife you can be my waiting buddy I am waiting on an I as well and also never considered going to an I, I was in my mind set on g or H but went to an I to get over the 2 carat threshold. Your ring is going to be Huge!!! I think mine will look quite large to being set in a halo and I have, unfortunately, short stumpy fingers haha.

Austina are you in Australia as well? We considered getting a Victor Chan while visiting the states but I have no patience and my husband doesnt have the leave and with a child just going into college/high school we can't take her out of school like we usually do to travel.

What other questions do people ask I don't want to hound the jeweller but I'm wired about MY ring. My husband and friends are sick of me talking about it and saying when's my ring arriving lol.

Does everyone take their purchase straight to be valued? I'm supposing I had better get a valuation to add to our insurance?

My ring mold is being delivered today 4-8pm and my husband luckily stayed home to work so he can sign for the package. It is killing me not to text him every hour lol

Hi waiting buddy! I don't know about other vendors, but the two vendors I've worked with took 2 weeks to finish a ring. OMG, I thought waiting 2 weeks was long - you had to wait for the diamond to come in on top of that AND international shipping? You have the patience of a saint.
