{Im}patiently Waiting

I am waiting for a package. It was sent from the East Coast and I am on the West Coast. Package was dropped off at the post office on Dec. 24th and sent first class mail. It has not arrived yet. Do you think it is lost or is this because of the snow on the east coast? How long did that disrupt the mail for? I can imagine that if it was dropped off on the 24th it wasn't ready to go until the 27th and that was when the snow was hitting them. But should it have gotten here yet?
