Hello everyone!

After snooping for a few months on gf’s preference on an e-ring, I think I might’ve found the one:

https://www.gia.edu/cs/Satellite?pagename=GST%2FDispatcher&childpagename=GIA%2FPage%2FReportCheck&c=Page&cid=1355954554547&reportno=1169058971

What do you guys think about it?

As many girls, my gf will want her stone to sparkle, sparkle, SPARKLE. As white as possible (do you suggest going down to G to get more value??), significantly big (hence 1.2ct for her size 4 finger but of cos the larger, the better), as long as eye clean.

The one linked above is ~$11K. I could possibly spend another $1K so if you think there is other better choice, plsssss let me know!

Time is running out…I’m looking at mid-june proposal here…

All the numbers look good.

If it were for me I would go down to a G to get a bigger stone. G will be pretty white in a
well cut stone.

I assume you know that sparkle has to do with cut and not color?

yes! i only really go for excellent cut stone...triple ex as well.

also on the top of the questions of whether i should go down to G is, is it worth the premium to pay for JA's True Hearts? you know every little money saved can be spent somewhere :appl:

Looks great. But yes, you absolutely can go down to G and even H without an issue.

But since you asked, this is what I'd be buying instead, as long the Idealscope image checks out: http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.40-carat-g-color-si1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-190677

You are getting a SUPER white clean gorgeous stone with this one. And a nice visual boost in size of .3mm should make your lady VERY happy.

And it's the same price at 11,100.

You don't need the hearts and arrows, read here for further information: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/likelihood-of-finding-a-signature-super-ideal-diamond.174235/

thanks gypsy for the great read! tons of useful info on that thread!

for me newbie, when i do my search on websites likes JA, i first set all search criteria and skim through the search results to look for stons that illustrates great symmetric patterns facing up. and then i punch in the numbers in hca to further rule out stones that score higher than 2.0 to ensure i get a stone with good light performance.

is anything wrong with this approach? will i be missing good candidate like this? i've been learning for a few months and want to make sure i get things right before pulling the trigger.
