My fiance bought me a beautiful 1.55ct color E vs2 Asscher. Its so beautiful to me, but I want size. I am really grateful of course but he did tell me when he proposed that there''s an upgrade policy. Now the time has come to start shopping but I really dont know what I want. I''m really confused !

I love the cut of the asscher but if even if I went bigger would it show. But then again the only other cut I do like is the cushion which from what I hear is smaller for its carat weight also. I don''t want a halo, because I love solitaires.

My question is will a 2.50 asscher look large ? That''s as big as we can afford.
also would going down the color and clarity help?

You probably should use the REPORT CONCERN button to move this to Rocky Talk. That's where it belongs and you'll get more responses there.

Cushions certainly face up bigger than asschers for the most part, so if it's size you want I'd pick a cushion over an asscher...

Also, you need to hook up with a vendor and look at different types of stones in the size range you are shooting for. Only then will you know if the upgrade will be worth it to you.

Ditto...

But to your question of whether a 2.5ct asscher will look "large?" That''s completely subjective. It may look large to someone else but too small to you. You''ll never know until you go look at them in person, and we certainly can''t tell you because our definition of "large" will be entirely different from yours (and everyone else''s, for that matter).

All that said, if large to you means "as big as we can possibly get," then an asscher isn''t for you.
