Sorry to hear about all the center stone drama. Even if it was the jewelers error, you got a better stone in the end and the $800 is a small price to pay just to be DONE with it. Some things are not worth the time and aggravation in such a happy time.

Congratulations on your engagement! That sucks about the center stone being cracked--I''m glad you''ve replaced it so it won''t niggle in the back of your brain. Do you think you will try to get your money back from the store? Seems like they admitted at least some level of fault by paying half of the new stone price, so I would think you would probably be able to get the rest back if you were up for fighting for it.
