Hi forum.
Wow, that''s a long time I was away.
I''m still alive and still love diamonds.

Here I go:
I''m the owner of a very nice ACA with painted girdle (new line ACA).
(I have once been attacked because of this stone, but there was more fear than harm and today I''m not afraid anymore.

)

Today, I saw a diamond on bluenile (only stats, no pics) and I''m seriously interested in it.
I guess an upgrade isn''t possible, as my ACA comes from Whiteflash, so I''ll have to find the money somewhere else if I decide to buy this stone.

My question is: could someone create 2 ".gem" files to let me see the pattern of the bluenile diamond and compare it with my ACA?
With some luck, I''ll forget the bluenile diamond and save my money.

Here are the stats

ACA
Depth: 60.5%
Crown: 34.9°
Pavilion: 40.7°
Table: 55%
Girdle: Faceted 0.8% to 3.7% (and PAINTED)
I can''t tell you about star and lower girdle length.
AGS Ideal Polish and Symmetry

BLUENILE
Depth: 59.4%
Crown: 34°
Pavilion: 40.4°
Table: 58%
Girdle: Thin to Medium, Faceted 3% (I guess NOT PAINTED)
Star Length: 55%
Lower Half: 85%
GIA Excellent Polish and Symmetry

Who can create 2 files for me?

Thank you!

painted girdle (new line ACA)
Can someone please explain to me what a painted girdle is? And why is this controversial? Thanks.

I wish I could Stephan, but wanted to say it''s nice to see you back!!!

Hi Kaleigh, hi Lorelei!
I''m happy to see you back too!

I can''t help you, either, I''m afraid... just wanted to say "HI!"
35.gif
and ask, um, what''s the color, clarity and carat weight of that puppy, Stephan?!!!

Check out the Is Tiffany better thread 2nd page I think....https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/is-tiffanys-really-that-much-more-expensive.83449/

Hi Lynn!
How are you?
It''s a 2.5 J-VVS2.
I think the 85% lower girdles + 58% table should be very nice, but as bluenile doesn''t provide pictures, I have to ask here for a ".gem" file.
It took a long time, but my ACA is shrinking.
Or are my eyes becoming old?

Any expert opinion on the proportions?
Thanks!

since bluenile is a drop shipper why don''t you see if whiteflash can get the stone you want so you can use your upgrade policy? it never hurts to try and you would probably get a better price especially if you can trade up!

STEPHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO SO SO nice to see you around these parts again!

Gosh, it''s been AGES since I laid eyes on the stone you bought; have been wondering where you''ve been hiding!

Nice to see you!

In layman-speak, painting (brillianteering) is a final polishing method usually applied to the crown pacets of a diamond. When done to a minimal degree, it can often improve the performance of a diamond.

It''s controversial because GIA deducts from the overall cut grade in some instances even though the impact on the diamond may be to improve its appearance.

Thank you Asscherhalo_lover!
I did a research on Whiteflash''s website, but I can''t find this diamond.
I love diamonds with 58% table and shallow/shallow combo, especially to go out.
I love the fire/scintillation of these stones under direct lighting.
This diamond has a VVS clarity (I feel good with that), a J color (perfect for me), an nice spread, excellent polish and symmetry, no fluorescence, no internal or surface graining (I hate that). I think it''s my dream diamond.
I would be so grateful if someone creates or shows me how to create ".gem" files, I''d really like to compare this diamond with my ACA.

Before I disturb the WF team, does somebody know if it''s possible? The stone isn''t listed on WF website.
Thank you all for your help!

Well, I saw a stone on another site and told WF; they actually had it listed on their site (I didn''t know at the time) but they brought it in for me so it doesn''t hurt to call them.

What''s a drop-shipper?

What''s a drop-shipper?
I think drop shippers are diamond sellers who share diamonds in their listings, but I''m not sure.

What''s a drop-shipper?
It''s a company who ships a stone to you, from a shared virtual inventory, without inspecting the diamond themselves first.

QueenMum, we get these kinds of inquiries on a pretty much daily basis.

We take enormous pride in our top-rate upgrade policy, so it''s never an imposition to help people take advantage of it.

You KNOW we don''t consider it a disturbance to hear from you; Lesley would be delighted to get your call and see how she can help.

Hi Alj!!!
Telepathy?
I just sent an email to your customer service.

I had such a good experience with Brian and all the team that I know Whiteflash''s customer service is the best.
Sorry if I don''t call, my spoken English is even worse than my written one...

Thank you very much Alj!

It''s 0h55 here, time to go to bed...
I''m sure that I will have a good night now.

I wish you a very nice afternoon!

I am not an expert by any means, but I know that 40.4 for the pavilion angle is something we usually try to avoid. I don''t think it would be ACA with those measurements, but Allison can better address that, I''m sure.

Asscherhalo_lover,

I only can THANK YOU for your input.
I sent Lesley a mail, and she answered very fast.
She told me I can upgrade!
I''m so happy.
Whiteflash really takes care of their customers!

Tomorrow, Brian will have a look at the diamond to see if everything is right with it.
I can''t wait!

It''s such a pleasure to work with Whiteflash!
Thank you again!
