Lately it's been songs for me. I'll start singing one randomly in my head and it will come on the radio a minute later. I've had this happen with 4 separate songs in the past two weeks.

Hi iLander! Yes, the earrings are still lost. I last saw them last Friday. They were on a bookshelf, and I put them in my pocket. That is the last time I saw them. I noticed that I was missing them later that morning. I am concerned that I threw them away, but searched every trashcan in the house that day, and I cannot find them. I fear they are lost Oh well. I'll try looking around the lime green things in my house. Thank you!

Thanks iLander. The bookshelf is a 6 foot tall, dark wood-stained bookshelf. The earrings were on one of the middle shelves, about hand height, on the left side of shelf. The books behind the earrings are all different colors. The earrings are about 3/4 inch in diameter, and are white gold, with a knife edge to the hoop.

When you go into the room that has the bookshelf, the bookshelf is on the northwest corner of the room, or left wall of the room. On the same left-wall are 2 brown IKEA Poang armchairs. In front of the bookshelf is the arm of a futon. The futon itself is on the wall that directly facing you when you enter the room. The futon cover has a gray and white pattern (with a modern, geographic print). On the right-wall is a cherry armoire, and next to it a dark wood TV stand with a TV. The wall closest to the door has a closet with 2 white-paneled folding doors.

I took the earrings from the bookshelf, and probably put them in the pocket of my pants. That's the last I remember seeing them.

Trying to help with just logic; Did you look under the futon? Maybe you thought it was sliding into your pocket, and it wasn't, it just fell. I've done that. Or check the hamper/laundry? Did you walk into another room with them? Maybe you didn't put it in your pocket at all.

iLander - can you really help finding lost jewellry pieces, via the internet? That's amazing! I've been going nuts taking apart drawers, shelves, little boxes trying to find 2 rings that my grandmother gave to me. One was a gold engraved birthstone ring with a bezel turquoise cabochon. It has a horseshoe on it, clover... I wore it for years and years and years... I would NEVER EVER have thrown it out, yet I can not find it anywhere. Weird. The other was a beautiful amethyst that was set in silver that her college room mate gave to her back in the 20's. blackened silver. bezel set, kind of rattled... again, no idea where these 2 pieces are but there is no way I'd have given them away.

I know i've gone thru the usual spots, yet I still keep going and checking it out, hoping that whatever I've missed, will suddenly turn up. Wait... isn't that the definition of insanity? keep doing the same thing but expect different results?? rats! No wonder I'm not getting anywhere...

Pregcurious, I hope you find your hoop earrings soon. That niggles away at you wondering where they could be. I keep thinking, if they could talk, they'd be yelling at me... HEY! over hear!!!

THANKS!!!! THank you so much for even having a 'feeling' about them!!! I will tear up the basement next and focus on these colours - oooh, how amazing that would be to find them again. Hmmm... I wonder where they are??? Thank you so much - any new feelings - go ahead and post! I was sure it was in this wooden marquetry box that came from my other grandmother, but when I found it... nope, just pennies and marbles. (yeah, the stuff you save as a kid that you think is just priceless! hahaha!)

Cushions. Have you removed them from sofas and chairs and searched those places yet? (Items in pockets can often be pushed out when a person sits down. And since I'm impressed with the gifts of iLander, start with any that are cream or green first. )
